After much success with Pat's children's book, Twigs, Leaves, and Rubber Bands, God has inevitably chosen for Pat to share from the heart about her journey to have a restoration of joy through her new book Lord, Please Restore My Joy.

What caused you to feel like now is the time to share your journey with the rest of the world?

Pat Askins: Now is a time when I have actually been experiencing a loss of joy and I know that in order to be fulfilled and use the gifts that God has called me to use, I need my joy restored. My journey has been full of discouragement, tears, heartache, and frustration but now I can sense a breakthrough.

How has God been moving in your life to bring about joy and inspire you to do this?

Askins: I have begun to feel a real peace that truly passes understanding; that there's a peace that is comforting to me. It's somewhat difficult to explain and maybe it's not meant to be explained.

How big is this to you?

Askins: It's big in the sense of wanting to share this because I sense that many others may be going through the same thing at this crucial time in their lives and many don't know what to do. They're wondering why they're feeling this way. It is my desire to share with others so that they know that they're not alone.

What do you hope people will take away from this book?

Askins: I hope that people will remember that they can turn to the Lord and ask Him "Restore my Joy" they don't have to be left feeling empty as if there is no joy. They can really ask Him to restore their joy.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Askins: Joy still comes in the morning. Your morning is on the way...
